In response to overwhelming global interest, the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially extended the media accreditation deadline for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 to Monday, 20 October 2025.

CAF

CAF confirmed that the decision was prompted by an unprecedented volume of applications from international media organizations eager to cover Africa’s premier football tournament. The surge in demand has led Confederation of African Football to not only prolong the application window but also bolster its media services infrastructure to support the influx.

To address the growing needs of media professionals, CAF has allocated additional resources and personnel to assist applicants encountering challenges with their accreditation submissions or access to the CAF Media Channel.

In a further step to streamline services, Confederation of African Football has established a dedicated Media Services Planning Desk located at the Main Media Centre in Rabat, which is already operational. The hub will serve as the central coordination point for all media-related inquiries and logistical support ahead of the tournament.

Media Accreditation Requirements

To apply for accreditation, media professionals must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Maintain an active account on the CAF Media Channel.
  • Be a professional journalist, photographer, or media practitioner representing a recognised media outlet.
  • Provide a valid press card or an official letter of assignment from an accredited media organization.
  • Submit a valid passport (with at least six months’ validity) for all international applicants.
    • Media professionals based in Morocco may alternatively submit a valid Moroccan national ID card.
  • Upload a recent, high-quality passport-style photo (JPEG or PNG format, max 5 MB).
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all submitted information. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be automatically rejected.

Important Notices:

  • The passport requirement is strictly enforced for all non-Moroccan applicants. Applications submitted with a national ID card instead of a passport will be rejected, unless the applicant is based in Morocco.
  • Accreditation is not issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All applications are subject to CAF approval, and successful candidates will receive detailed instructions in due course.

Media representatives are encouraged to complete their applications ahead of the final deadline to ensure adequate time for processing and confirmation.
