Ghanaian music sensation Stonebwoy has officially dropped the tracklist for his upcoming album UPXRUNNIN6, sending waves of excitement through the music world. Set to be released on October 24, the Afro-dancehall pioneer’s sixth studio album is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about projects of the year. With 13 dynamic tracks featuring an array of international collaboration.
On October 10, he offered fans a first glimpse at the album and announced the pre-order option. The album will have 13 tracks and four songs, including Your Body, Ekelebe featuring ODUMODUBLVCK, Jejereje featuring Ginton, and Pray for Me featuring Wyclef Jean, which are already available.
The tracklist boasts collaborations with an impressive lineup of artists from across the globe. Some of the standout features includes, Ghana’s Larruso, Nigeria’s Duncan Mighty, London’s Amaria BB, Bonaire Island’s IR Sais, and South Florida’s Kaylan Arnold. Other famous names include Blvk H3ro, Chi Ching, and Sp Jamaica’s dancehall queen Spice, who is up for Best Reggae Album at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022. She is the only female dancehall artist with over 200 million pure album sales.
UPXRUNNIN6 follows the success of Stonebwoy’s previous album 5th Dimension, which marked a series of milestones, including a sold-out European tour and a Grammy consideration. Stonebwoy has described the new album as both “complimentary and supplementary” to his previous work, promising fans an even deeper exploration of Afro-dancehall, fused with other global sounds.
Following his sold-out performance at the 40,000-capacity Accra Sports Stadium, Stonebwoy’s star continues to rise, and this album is expected to showcase his growth as a multifaceted artist.
