Gyakie Shares An Inspiring Photo of herself In The Studio When she was Just A Kid
Ghanaian R&B and afro-fusion artist Jackline Acheampong, also known as Gyakie or Song Bird, recently shared a photo on her Facebook page of herself recording in the studio when she was just six years old.
Gyakie was born into a family of musicians, and by the age of six, she had begun to work with her father in the recording studio.
She is the daughter of Ernest Owoahene, a renowned Highlife musician and half of the Lumba brothers who is better known by his stage name Nana Acheampong.
People are shocked and amazed to see that she began her singing career when she was a little child, which has made a stir on social media.

Gyakie initially released “Love is Pretty” in February 2019 and then followed that up with “Never Like This.” In August 2020, she released the five-track EP Seed.On the Seed EP, the song “Forever” received radio in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. It topped music charts like the Top 200 Shazam charts and the Top Triller Global charts from Billboard.Together with Nigerian artist Omah Lay, Gyakie produced a remix of “Forever” in March 2021.She received the emerging lady of the year award that same month at the 2021 3Music Women’s Brunch for the 3Music Awards.
With Sony Music Entertainment, RCA Records UK, and Sony Music Africa, she has a global record deal.
Gyakie was named the Woman of the Year for in March 2022.
