Ghana’s golden boy of Afrobeat, KiDi, has set social media into a frenzy with a bold statement that’s sending shockwaves across the music scene: “No song should beat Lomo Lomo in ANY category!”
In a fiery campaign post on his socials, the award-winning crooner called on fans to rally behind his chart-topping collaboration with Black Sherif, insisting that “Lomo Lomo towers over any other song” in this year’s 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
With the awards night set for May 10, 2025, at the dazzling Grand Arena, KiDi isn’t leaving anything to chance. He’s diving headfirst into the campaign trail, urging fans whom he affectionately calls “my loves” to vote and secure victory for what he calls the ultimate banger of the year.
‘Lomo Lomo’ is vying for dominance in four major categories:
Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste(s)
Best Afrobeats Song
Collaboration of the Year
Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year
And KiDi wants every single one.
While some nominees are relying on polished PR machines, KiDi is taking a more personal approach rallying the troops himself and letting his passion do the talking.
