In a recent interview on Accra 100.5 FM, Ghanaian music sensation Sefa made waves by announcing her departure from the Black Avenue Muzik label, helmed by renowned musician and entrepreneur D-Black.

On October 24, 2024, Sefa revealed she had officially ended her contract with the label after nearly seven years of partnership, citing the need to explore fresh opportunities in her music career.

Reflecting on her time with Black Avenue Muzik, the E Choke hitmaker shared insights into the dynamics of her journey. “First of all, my contract ended,” she explained, adding, “You know, I have always said that when you are working with people or people that you consider family, it’s always a roller coaster; things happen, a lot of things come in. There have been some business misunderstandings and all that.”

Sefa also hinted that the lack of promotion for her hit song Vibration played a role in her decision to part ways with the label.

Sefa’s departure marks a significant turning point for her. Since joining D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik, she has become one of Ghana’s most admired artists, producing chart-toppers like Fever, E Choke, Shuga, Player, and Vibration.
