On Tuesday, Beyoncé gave her fans an early election day palette cleanser by tweeting photos of herself paying homage to Pamela Anderson’s style in what appears to be her Halloween costume. Or, more specifically, her “Beylloween” costume, as she described in the description.
The Grammy-winner dressed up in numerous distinct famous outfits that Anderson has worn over the years. Donning a platinum blonde wig, the singer is seen donning an all-black ensemble from the 1996 classic “Barb Wire,” in which Anderson stars, as well as the dress Anderson wore to the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, complete with the huge fluffy pink hat.
And, because Beyoncé isn’t short on wordplay, she wore the classic red “Baywatch” bathing suit with “Beywatch” in yellow letters across the bust, an homage to Anderson’s 1992-97 show. Beyoncé also made a subtle homage to election day, encouraging her fans to vote by carrying a flag that reads “vote!”
“Don’t call me bey…” she wrote on her Instagram Stories across a photo of Beyoncé channeling her “Barb Wire” movie character, referencing an iconic line from the film.
