This year’s National Football League (NFL) Christmas Day game will feature a halftime performance by American music icon Beyoncé. The announcement was made via her official Instagram account and the game broadcaster Netflix, revealing that she will perform during the Houston Texans’ game against the Baltimore Ravens. Beyoncé’s highly anticipated concert will include songs from her country-inspired album, Cowboy Carter, marking the album’s debut live performance.
“Although the details of Beyonce performance are under wraps, Beyonce’ is expected to feature some special guests who are featured on the Cowboy Carter album,” Netflix stated in a statement. This will not be the 43-year-old star’s first partnership with the NFL. She led Super Bowl XLVII’s halftime show in 2013 and returned in 2016 to perform with Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
Beyoncé’s latest performance announcement follows her record-breaking milestone of being the most Grammy-nominated artist in history, with 11 nominations this season.
