The president of Bishop Boxing Promotions Dave Bishop has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of TSE Annan, boxing stakeholders, athletes and partners following the successful staging of the Bishop Box Cup, describing the event as a spectacular celebration of Ghanaian boxing and a collective triumph for the nation.
The tournament, organised by Bishop Boxing Promotions, brought together boxers, coaches, trainers, officials and supporters in an event that showcased the depth of talent within Ghana’s boxing fraternity.
Reflecting on the occasion, the president praised the people of TSE Annan for the warmth and hospitality extended to the organisers, noting that their support helped transform the competition into a celebration that went beyond the ring.
“Bishop Box Cup by Bishop Boxing Promotions was nothing short of spectacular. The people of TSE Annan embraced us with incredible warmth and hospitality, and the event became a true celebration for the whole community,” the president said.
While boxing naturally produces winners and losers, the president said the broader impact of the tournament should not be measured solely by the results recorded on the night.
“While some will mark winners and losers, I believe everyone gained. This was a collective triumph for Ghana,” he added.
One of the event’s major highlights was its international exposure through its two pay-per-view partners, KA Sports and Millions.Co. Their involvement provided an opportunity for audiences beyond Ghana to witness the quality and potential of the country’s boxers.
According to the Bishop Boxing Promotions president, the global broadcast served as a powerful reminder that Ghanaian boxing remains vibrant, competitive and rich in emerging talent.

The successful staging of the Bishop Box Cup has also strengthened calls for greater investment in the development of Ghanaian boxing. The president believes the country is ready to welcome more international competition while creating expanded opportunities for boxers to train, develop and compete at the highest level.
Bishop Boxing Promotions is therefore calling for global challengers, expanded training opportunities, stronger sponsorship support and wider international recognition for boxing in Ghana.
The president also reserved special praise for the coaches, trainers, athletes, partners and colleagues whose efforts contributed to the success of the event.
