On Tuesday, February 20, the Black Queens held their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium. There were 21 players in attendance. Nora Hauptle and her team continue to prepare for the first leg of their 2024 Olympic Games third-round qualifying, which is scheduled for Friday.
The 21 players that trained on Tuesday included Charlton Athletic’s Freda Ayisi, Real Sociedad’s Jacqueline Owusu, and Linda Eshun. The three players were absent on the first day of training.
Only goalkeeper Vivian Antwi Adjei and forward Gifty Assifuah of 1207 Antaly Spor were unable to attend Tuesday’s training because they arrived late. The Black Queens are attempting to make their first Olympic Games appearance, having defeated Guinea and Benin to go to the third round of qualifying.
Freda Ayisi, a Charlton Athletic midfielder, is excited following her first training session with the Black Queens on Tuesday, February 20. After skipping the first day of training at the Accra Sports Stadium, the 29-year-old rejoined the club for the second.
Nora Hauptle gave the former Arsenal player his first call-up to the Black Queens team ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games third-round qualifier against Zambia.
Ayisi participated in every training session on Tuesday and appeared to be at ease at home.
