On Saturday, 31 October 2026, Chalé Radio will take another step in that direction with a special collaboration with Accra House Festival, bringing DJs Safo NP and Vie to the decks at the Chalé Store in Osu.

Running from 1 pm to 3 pm, the session will offer an intimate afternoon of music and community, while setting the tone for the Accra House Festival in December. More than a standalone DJ performance, the event reflects Chalé Radio’s growing interest in creating spaces where music becomes a meeting point for people, ideas and contemporary African culture.

Chalé Radio began with intimate DJ sets at the Chalé Store in Osu, building its identity around a simple idea: music can bring people together and create room for meaningful cultural exchange.

The platform is the music and cultural arm of Chalé Global, a brand within Chalé Clothing Ltd, an African lifestyle and cultural company whose wider portfolio includes Chalé Socks and the Onechalé charity. While Chalé Clothing is rooted in lifestyle and fashion, Chalé Radio extends that vision into music, artistic expression and community-building.

Its early sessions have provided a foundation for something broader. So far, Chalé Radio has hosted four sets at the Osu store, with DJ Sharky appearing in three of them. The format has helped establish a close connection between the music, the venue and the people who gather to experience it.

The most recent session featured DJ San Gabriel of Asafo Sound System alongside MC Addikshin Muse. San Gabriel’s appearance brought further attention to the platform, with the DJ having won the Best International DJ category at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards. The recognition underscores the calibre of talent associated with the series and its potential to connect local audiences with artists whose work travels beyond Ghana.

For Chalé Radio, the ambition extends beyond hosting a regular programme of DJ sets. The platform is developing into a wider network of DJs, artists, photographers, creators and music lovers, united by a shared interest in music and culture.

That vision places Chalé Radio within a broader conversation about how African creative communities build their own platforms, document their experiences and introduce emerging voices to new audiences.

Music remains at the centre of the project, but it is part of a larger cultural picture that includes art, fashion, photography and the people shaping how contemporary African identity is expressed. By creating opportunities for these communities to meet and collaborate, Chalé Radio aims to contribute to Ghana’s creative ecosystem while developing a voice that can reach audiences and cultural platforms internationally.

The emphasis is on participation as much as performance. Rather than treating culture as something to be consumed from a distance, Chalé Radio seeks to create environments where people can contribute to it, share ideas and help shape what comes next.

The upcoming collaboration with Accra House Festival is a natural extension of that approach.

On 31 October, Safo NP and Vie will take over the decks at the Chalé Store for a two-hour session hosted in partnership with the festival. The gathering will bring together the intimate atmosphere that has defined Chalé Radio’s earlier sets and the wider energy surrounding Accra’s house music community.

With December’s Accra House Festival on the horizon, the October session also offers an opportunity to build anticipation ahead of the festival. It creates a point of connection between audiences, DJs and cultural communities before the larger event arrives. Click Here

The choice of the Chalé Store as the setting keeps the experience close to the platform’s roots. Located in Osu, the space has served as the starting point for Chalé Radio’s programming, allowing the project to grow through direct encounters rather than relying solely on a conventional broadcast format.

As the series develops, collaborations such as this one can help strengthen relationships across Accra’s music scene and create new opportunities for artists and audiences to connect.
