Chris Attoh, a multi-talented host and actor, will emcee the Ghana Music Awards for the fourth time, this time for the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), in 2024.
Chris Attoh who previously hosted the event in 2011, 2012, and 2016, will return to the stage on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena.
Chris Attoh’s comeback demonstrates his remarkable hosting ability, as he deftly blends comedy with a great regard for music.
Throughout his prior performances, he has been praised for delivering a riveting and engaging experience for both live and televised audiences.
In March 2024, the Ghana Music Award Academy Board revealed the candidates for the 25th TGMA, which included prominent categories such as Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Nacee, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy are the top nominees for the coveted “Artiste of the Year” award.
Banzy Banero, DSL, King Paluta, Maya Blu, Olive the Boy, and Oseikrom Sikani are among the nominees for Best New Artist.
Perez Musik, Kyei Mensah, Kofi Kari Kari, Josh Blak, Camidoh, and Kidi have all been nominated for Best Vocal Performance. Adina, Abiana, Niiella, Queendalyn Yurglee, Titi Owusu, and Lordina the Soprano compete for Best Female Vocal Performance.
The Ghana Music Academy Board is made up of professionals from all sectors of the music industry, including recording artists, composers, producers, mixers, and engineers, resulting in a broad and well-rounded panel of judges.
The 2024 GMA, formally known as the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), is Ghana’s most prestigious music award.
