Women of Valour (WoV) has officially announced the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) as the Headline Sponsor for Women of Valour London 2026.

The highly anticipated event, scheduled for 7 March 2026, promises to be more than a celebration. It is shaping up to be a bold declaration of fearlessness, influence, and transformative leadership by women across Africa and the diaspora.

A Partnership Poised to Shift the Narrative

This landmark collaboration unites two forces committed to advancing women’s leadership, economic inclusion, and social transformation. With EBID stepping in as Headline Sponsor, Women of Valour London 2026 is set to amplify its impact on an unprecedented scale.

The official theme for 2026 — “Fearlessness” could not be more timely.

At a moment when women worldwide are demanding equity, access, and recognition, WoV London 2026 will spotlight stories of courage that challenge systems, reshape industries, and inspire generations.

Founded by award-winning journalist Nana Aba Anamoah, Women of Valour has evolved from a celebrated Accra-based gathering into a globally recognised leadership and storytelling powerhouse.

EBID

Each year, in honour of International Women’s Day, the platform convenes trailblazing women from media, business, governance, entrepreneurship, and civil society women whose journeys redefine what is possible.

Now, London 2026 is poised to be its most ambitious edition yet.

“A Belief in Women as Drivers of Development”

Speaking on the partnership, Nana Aba Anamoah underscored the deeper significance of EBID’s involvement:

“Women of Valour was created to honour courage and amplify the voices that shape our societies. EBID’s support goes beyond sponsorship. It represents a belief in women as drivers of development and progress, both on the continent and throughout the diaspora.”

This is not just corporate backing. It is a strategic alignment around long-term impact.

EBID Doubles Down on Gender Inclusion

Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, President and Chairman of EBID, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to women-led development and inclusive growth.

“At EBID, we believe that empowering women is fundamental to sustainable development. Our partnership with Women of Valour is especially key in the current context as we prepare to obtain certification for the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions.”

With this move, EBID signals that gender inclusion is not a side initiative, it is central to its development mandate across the ECOWAS region.
