The 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards is reaching new heights as the awards board announces that veteran DJ and presenter Naa Ayele Ardayfio will be honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. This accolade, set to be presented during the highly anticipated awards ceremony on November 25, 2024, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, recognizes her extraordinary contributions to the Ghanaian music and DJ industry.
Naa Ayele Ardayfio’s illustrious career began at Ghana’s Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), where she started as a National Service Personnel. Her passion for music and broadcasting quickly blossomed, leading her to discover DJing. In the 90s, she broke barriers as one of only three female DJs in Ghana, making a significant impact in a predominantly male industry. Her charm and expertise shone through on GTV’s “Music For You,” which she co-hosted with Timothy Quashigah, captivating audiences nationwide.
“Her impact on the DJing industry and her pioneering role as one of the few female DJs in Ghana make her a fitting recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award,” remarked Mr. Kwame Adu Gyamfi, a member of the Board of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards. “Naa Ayele Ardayfio’s journey from GBC studios to becoming a household name exemplifies resilience and dedication, especially at a period where we are promoting inclusion and diversity in the Disc Jockey business.
