Following his win, prominent Ghanaian lawyer and politician Gabby Otchere-Darko, often referred to as “Chairman,” met with king Lagazee to present the award and surprised him with an exciting promise: a trip to Jamaica.
During the award presentation, Gabby Otchere-Darko expressed his pride in Lagazee’s accomplishments and made a statement that has since gone viral. “I am proud of your achievements,” he said warmly, adding, “You’re going to Jamaica next year again.” This promise underscores Otchere-Darko’s commitment to supporting the growth of Ghanaian talent and his recognition of the global importance of reggae and dancehall music.
