Kinaata experienced a big challenge in pursuing his football interest throughout his formative years in Efiekuma, Takoradi: the financial burden of purchasing suitable equipment, notably football boots. The exorbitant expense of boots presented a barrier for the young athlete, forcing him to reevaluate his chosen path.

Unlike football, where expensive equipment is required, music allowed him to express himself more freely. He clearly stated that “with music, you don’t need to buy a microphone before you can sing.” The simplicity and affordability of music equipment in comparison to football equipment influenced Kofi Kinaata’s professional path.

Kinaata had achieved extraordinary success in the music industry, including three wins for Songwriter of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, but he had yet to produce a full album or EP. However, the constant demands of his devoted following pushed him to finally begin on this journey.

Responding to public demand, Kofi Kinaata announced the imminent release of his highly awaited EP, “Kofi OO Kofi.” The release date, which was originally slated for April 15, has been delayed for either May 3rd or 10th. This EP is a key milestone in Kofi Kinaata’s career, demonstrating his growth as an artist.
