Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, will pay a historic visit to Anloga in the Volta Region on Saturday to attend the Hogbetsotso festival . The Volta Region’s Anlos celebrate the Hogbetsotso festival to commemorate the Ewe people’s exodus from Notse under the wicked rule of King Agorkorli. The Anlos planned to give the festival a distinct blend of Anlos and Asante cultures this year. The Awoamefia of the Anlo State, Togbui Sri III, officially extended an invitation to Otumfuo Osei Tutu to attend this year’s Hogbetsotso festival.
