One person is reported dead in a severe road accident involving Second Lady Samira Bawumia
The wife of the vice president, Samira Bawumia, has been involved in a severe road accident while on her way to the Ashanti Region. Tragically, the incident has resulted in one confirmed fatality within her convoy, as reported exclusively by asaaseradio.com.
The second lady, Samira Bawumia, fortunately, emerged unscathed from the collision, escaping without sustaining any serious injuries. The incident occurred near Nobewam, off the Kumasi-Accra highway, specifically at Ohene-Nkwanta, as stated by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The collision involved a Toyota Land Cruiser (GC-9094-21), a Toyota Land Cruiser (VR-2105-15), a Mercedes Benz C180 (NR-1977-18), and a Benz Sprinter (GE-7256-14), according to the GNFS report. The Sprinter bus, unfortunately, collided with the convoy, leading to a chain reaction involving two other cars.

Tragically, one person in Samira Bawumia’s convoy lost their life in the accident. The GNFS rescue team, led by STNO II Odjer Jonathan, arrived promptly at the crash scene at 1312 hours. At that point, four victims had already been rescued by the public and transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Eight individuals, including the fatal casualty, suffered varying degrees of injuries. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz C180 sustained significant damage to their engine compartments and windshields. Additionally, the rear of the Toyota Land Cruiser (GC-9094-21) and Toyota Land Cruiser (VR-2105-15) suffered partial damage.
