Berlinda Addardey, popularly known as Berla Mundi, has become a household name in Ghana, known for her dynamic presence in media, her passionate advocacy for women’s rights, and her impressive career achievements. Born on April 1, 1988, Berla has carved out a niche for herself as a leading media personality, women’s advocate, and voice artist.

Early Life and Education

Berla Mundi’s journey to stardom began at St. Theresa’s School and continued at Achimota School. She later attended the University of Ghana, where she majored in linguistics and psychology. Her educational pursuits didn’t stop there; she also studied French at Alliance Franҫaise and honed her media skills at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, Berla holds a certification from Harvard Business School Executive Education on Developing Yourself as a Leader.

Rise to Fame

Berla Mundi first captured the public’s attention as the second runner-up at the 2010 Miss Maliaka beauty pageant. This pivotal moment launched her into the media world, where she quickly became a co-host and eventually a judge for the same pageant. Her career took off as she joined GHOne TV, a subsidiary of the EIB Network, where she worked for five years before moving to TV3 Ghana, part of Media General Ghana Limited.

Berla has hosted numerous reality shows and corporate events, making her a sought-after MC and event hostess. She co-hosted Africa’s first syndicated show on DSTV, “Moment with MO,” and has been a fixture at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), co-hosting the event for six consecutive years alongside industry veteran Kwami Sefa Kayi. On January 5, 2024, Berla Mundi married David Tabi in a private ceremony in Accra. Her marriage marks a new chapter in her life, as she continues to balance her personal and professional commitments.
