This year’s WOMAD marked a significant milestone for the internationally renowned festival, returning after a one-year break in a brand-new home at Neston Park, Wiltshire, from 23–26 July 2026.
The relocation ushered in a fresh chapter for the iconic event while maintaining its reputation for showcasing the very best in world music, arts and culture.
Although organizers have not yet released the official attendance figures, expectations before the festival estimated around 40,000 people, including ticket holders, crew and staff would be part of the four-day celebration. Until WOMAD publishes its final numbers, it is most accurate to describe the attendance as an estimated 35,000 to 40,000people across the weekend rather than quoting a confirmed figure.
The overwhelming reception to Epixode and K.O.G’s performance reinforces the growing influence of Ghanaian music on the global stage. Their commanding presence, musical excellence and ability to connect with audiences from diverse cultures demonstrated why Ghana continues to produce some of Africa’s most compelling live performers.
