Ghanaian music executive and artist manager Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson, widely known as BullGod, has launched a new social impact initiative aimed at improving the living conditions of police holding cells across the country.

The project, dubbed “Bright Walls, Better Minds,” officially kicked off with the successful makeover of a police cell at the Adabraka Police Station in Accra, completed on Tuesday, December 24, 2025. The transformation marks the execution phase of an initiative designed to humanise detention spaces through art, colour and creative expression.

BullGod, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Bullhaus Entertainment, has been outspoken over the years about the deplorable state of many police cells in Ghana. Drawing from his own personal experience of detention, he believes the physical environment of holding cells can significantly influence the mental and emotional wellbeing of detainees, even during short stays.

The Bright Walls, Better Minds initiative seeks to replace the bleakness of police cells with murals and vibrant designs intended to promote calmness, reflection and hope.

Announcing the project on social media, BullGod described it as a step towards restoring dignity within the criminal justice system.

“BRIGHT WALLS, BETTER MINDS is a social-impact art initiative by Bullhaus Entertainment focused on transforming police holding cells into healing, inspiring, and mentally uplifting spaces through murals, color, and creative expression,” he wrote.

“On Tuesday, 24th December 2025, the project successfully completed the transformation of its first police holding cell at the Adabraka Police Station, marking the official execution phase of the initiative.”

The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, with support from private sector partners including Twellium Industrial Company Limited and Champion Foods. BullGod also expressed appreciation to the broader Adopt A Cell team for their contribution to the initiative.

Several creatives and public figures were acknowledged for their involvement in the project, among them Epixode, Babiee Dapaah, Kwesi Oduro Junior, Yehowada, Linkin, and Murafiki.

With the first phase completed, organisers say Bright Walls, Better Minds is expected to be extended to other police stations nationwide, as part of a broader effort to combine art, advocacy and social reform.
