CAF Announces 2025 AFCON Qualifiers

Excitement is building as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the dates for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. Set to take place between September and November this year, the qualifiers will pave the way for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, scheduled for 2025.

Ghana’s Black Stars are gearing up for a thrilling campaign, with their journey kicking off at home against Angola. Here’s a closer look at the crucial fixtures that lie ahead for Ghana in Group F:

September 2-10, 2024: Ghana vs. Angola (Home)

September 2-10, 2024: Niger vs. Ghana (Away)

October 7-15, 2024: Ghana vs. Sudan (Home)

October 7-15, 2024: Sudan vs. Ghana (Away)

November 2024: Angola vs. Ghana (Away)

November 2024: Ghana vs. Niger (Home, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi)

The top two teams from Group F will secure their spots in the 35th edition of the (AFCON) Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco next year. Otto Addo’s squad is determined to clinch one of these coveted spots, aiming to add another AFCON title to their illustrious history. Ghana has previously won the prestigious tournament in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982.
