Renowned entrepreneur and founder of Delay Foods, Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, has publicly expressed her disappointment over the omission of King Paluta’s hit single “Makoma” from the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) 2025 nominations. Taking to her social media platforms, Delay voiced her concerns, reflecting a sentiment shared by many fans and industry insiders.

In a  post, Delay questioned the exclusion, stating:

“How @KingPalutaMusic’s ‘Makoma’ wasn’t nominated is why I keep praying without ceasing. Under your very eyes, what belongs to you will be snatched away if you cease praying.”

This statement her belief that the track deserved recognition, and its absence from the nominations is both surprising and disheartening.

The artist himself has not been silent.  King Paluta has formally petitioned the TGMA board for clarification on the criteria that resulted in “Makoma” being disregarded.  He stressed the song’s importance and popularity, implying that its removal raises concerns about the nominating process.
