Edem collaborates with GAMBO and American rapper Jim Jones on the Drip remix

Denning Edem Hotor, a multi-award-winning Ghanaian recording musician and entertainer better known as Edem, has announced a huge music collaboration with Ghanaian rapper, singer, and composer Bashir Annan, well known as Gambo, and American music superstar Jim Jones.

The new collaboration which is the remix of Gambo and Edem’s 2021 hit song, ‘Drip’, promises to be a popular street anthem, one that’s sure to take over the airwaves in Ghana and other parts of Africa.

The ‘Drip’ remix will be released on June 29, 2024, and Edem used the occasion to present an award on stage at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards to encourage all music fans to keep an eye out for the next song.

Edem is one of Ghana’s most accomplished artists. His songs, including Ma Cherie (2022) and Toto (2018), have delighted Ghanaians and people all over the world since his debut on the Ghanaian music industry in 2009.

He has received numerous prominent music industry honors throughout the years, including Best International Act-Africa at the Black Canadian honors in Canada in 2015. Edem has released a new song called ‘Stand Firm’, which features Bryno Ayoni.

Gambo, a musical gem and a very talented rapper who is regarded as one of Ghana’s hardest working musicians, has spent five incredible years in the Ghanaian music industry, with his debut single, ‘Kwacha’, released in 2019, ushering in half a decade of amazing songs from him. Gambo received the Unsung Artiste of The Year award at the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (now Telecel Ghana Music Awards) in 2022, defeating numerous other notable Ghanaian musicians in a close struggle.

He has gained recognition and appreciation for producing high-quality songs and making large investments in world-class music videos.

Jim Jones, born on July 15, 1976 (age 47), and known privately as Joseph Guillermo Jones II, is one of America’s finest rappers of all time. Jim Jones, a record executive and founder member of the hip hop collective The Diplomats (commonly known as Dipset), created in 1997 with fellow Harlem native Cam’ron, has dedicated his life to music, inspiring millions of followers across America with his songs.

The trio’s collaboration will undoubtedly result in a musical masterpiece that millions of music enthusiasts will be unable to stop listening to at home, on the streets, and at parties and other gatherings.

The song ‘Drip’ aired at 4syte TV in Accra on February 26, 2021 and has since received extensive airplay. Fortune Dane, a popular Ghanaian record producer, produced ‘Drip’. The official video for ‘Drip’ stars curvy Ghanaian actress Moesha Boduong and social media phenomenon Shugatiti.
