Ghana Black Stars to Face Chad and Mali in September 4th & 8th respectively

FIFA has officially confirmed the dates for the upcoming round of matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers, with Ghana’s Black Stars set to play two crucial fixtures in September against Chad and Mali.

Coach Otto Addo’s side, currently leading Group I, will be looking to solidify their position at the top of the table as the qualifiers reach their critical stage. Ghana will first travel to face Chad on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in N’Djamena. Kickoff is scheduled for 13:00 GMT.

Black Stars

The Black Stars will then return home to host Mali on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the match set to kick off at 19:00 GMT. This will be Ghana’s final home game of the qualifying campaign.

Black Stars currently sits atop Group I with 15 points from six matches, boasting five wins and one loss. They hold a three-point lead over second-placed Comoros and are five points ahead of third-placed Madagascar.

The September fixtures will be pivotal in determining Ghana’s path to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with only two more matches remaining after this round. The final round of qualifiers is set for October, where the Black Stars will aim to book their ticket to North America.
