Afro-Dancehall sensation Stonebwoy has been declared Ghana’s top music export by outspoken entertainment critic and artist manager Bullgod. The proclamation was made during the highly anticipated release of Stonebwoy’s sixth studio album, Up & Running, on October 24, 2024.
At a star-studded listening party at the Alora Beach Resort, which is situated inside Laboma Beach in Accra, the record was elegantly launched. High-profile personalities, including actress Nadia Buari, Nana Ama McBrown, Kwaw Kese, and D-Black, were present at the occasion to show support for a friend and brother.
In a candid reflection on Stonebwoy’s career, Bullgod stated, “Stonebwoy is, without a doubt, Ghana’s most important music export. His work ethic, combined with the impact of his music both locally and internationally, makes him stand out. Others are succeeding abroad, but Stonebwoy’s consistency and global presence have placed him at the top.”
He added, “These days, we need to push our artists beyond borders. It’s up to us, as management, to secure the necessary backing for our stars to thrive globally. At the moment, Stonebwoy is our biggest export, and while others are trying, he remains the most influential.”
