The Black Stars have landed in Bamako ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Matchday 3 qualifier against Mali’s Eagles. Otto Addo’s players left Accra at 5 p.m. and arrived in Bamako around 19:00Hrs GMT on ASKY Airlines, having trained in Accra for five days in preparation for the critical Group I clash. The Black Stars are trying to rebound from a rocky start to the qualifications, which included a 1-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-0 loss to the Comoros in November of last year.
The Black Stars will face the Eagles of Mali on Thursday, June 6, followed by the Horns of Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024. They are looking for their first win in five matches across all competitions after two defeats and three draws.
