MTN Ghana has stated that it has obtained more capacity from its international partners to help boost data and internet services for its customers.
This was documented in a statement sent by the cell operator this morning, March 18, 2024.

MTN Ghana said in a press release: “We are happy to inform you that we have secured additional capacity from our international partners, which has resulted in an improvement in your data experience.”

Last week, certain mobile network operators experienced disruptions in their data offerings and services due to subsea cable cuts.

This made it impossible for these operators to provide consistent data services to their customers.

The National Communications Authority, in a statement published following a meeting with service providers and mobile network operators, stated that they expect services to be fully restored in at least five weeks.

MTN pledged to notify users as soon as there are any new developments on these concerns.
